A practical communication orientated course. The audio CD contains 60 minutes of material recorded by native Maltese speakers. It consists of conversation extracts with an explanation in English of grammatical points. Difficult items of pronunciation are also exemplified. Each of the topics treated in the ten chapters is illustrated by realistic dialogues and accompanied by "Read and Listen" exercises presented at the end of each chapter. These help the learner acquire a more native-like inotation and also introduce the foreigner to salient features of culture ingrained in the Maltese way of life that feature regularly in everyday conversation.
