The Cell Cycle: Principles of ControlIs part of a series of books constructed on a modular principle that is intended to make them easy to teach from, to learn from, and to use for reference, without sacrificing the synthesis that is essential for any text that is to be truly instructive. The diagram above illustrates the modular structure and special features of these books. Each chapter is broken down into two-page sections each covering a defined topic and containing all the text, illustrations, definitions and references relevant to that topic. Within each section, the text is divided into subsections under one-sentence headings that reflect the sequence of ideas and the global logic of the chapter.
